Deadline Is May 23</b><br /><br />It is recommended that all therapists,
regardless of their practice setting, obtain an NPI. The deadline to obtain an
NPI is May 23, 2007. You can access information regarding the NPI at
http://www.cms.hhs.gov/NationalProvIdentStand/06_implementation.asp or you can
type ?NPI? into the search engine at http://www.cms.hhs.gov. The NPI Web site
has links to various resources associated with common NPI questions. The NPI
will be used for claims as well as quality measure reporting, so please
recommend to your membership that they obtain one. There is no cost to obtain
an NPI, and the application can be submitted electronically, by fax, or by
